THE DETAILS The investment, which also includes entrepreneur Dilesh Mehta and a syndicate of retail, technology and consumer brand investors, will support the expansion of Bodycare’s next-generation retail model. The funding follows the successful launch of the company’s first Studio Store in Sheffield, with additional locations planned in Derby and Leicester. Bodycare said it is integrating artificial intelligence across merchandising, pricing, supply chain optimisation, customer insights and operations through its proprietary AIMEE platform, while combining physical retail with live social commerce, creator studios and beauty services to create a more immersive customer experience.
THE WHY? The investment reflects growing confidence in AI-enabled retail models as health and beauty retailers seek to combine operational efficiency, omnichannel engagement and creator-led commerce to drive future growth.
