Longtime local government data platform architect and analyst joins SplashBI after using its solutions firsthand to transform enterprise financial management
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, April 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SplashBI, an AI-powered enterprise analytics platform, today announced that Gus Caravalho has joined the company as Principal Enterprise Architect. Caravalho brings more than a decade of experience designing and delivering practical, useful data innovations for local governments, including a revolutionary enterprise data platform that used SplashBI as the cornerstone of its foundation.
In his previous role as Financial Data and Analytics Manager for Arlington County, Virginia, Caravalho leveraged SplashBI’s Platform, Data Pipeline, and SQL Connect tools to create a custom, hourly-updating enterprise data platform called Arlington View that empowered analysts and revolutionized financial and performance management across the County. This firsthand experience successfully operating SplashBI’s solutions at enterprise scale, on top of real-world data, under real-world time constraints to deliver real-world ROI built his faith in SplashBI and is what drew him to join the company.
Before Arlington County, Caravalho held analytical and operational roles at the City of Alexandria, Virginia, and the City of Rockville, Maryland, building a career at the intersection of local government finance, performance management, and data infrastructure. His technical depth spans Oracle ERP systems, SQL, data modeling, cloud data warehousing, and Microsoft Excel and Power BI, all grounded in his operational experience managing budgets, leading financial teams, creating useful analyses, and driving enterprise data innovation organically from the inside.
In his new role, Caravalho will collaborate closely with current and future customers to design enterprise data solutions that make the long-sought dream of data-driven decision making finally reality. Working directly with customers’ technical and functional staff, Caravalho will lead solution design and data modeling engagements, demonstrating how SplashBI’s suite of professional analytical products can integrate into existing enterprise architectures of all shapes and sizes to deliver accurate, reliable, meaningful real-world results. For organizations considering what comes next beyond their traditional reporting, Caravalho’s ability to connect deep technical know-how with years of hands-on operational experience will enable him to guide conversations about what the future will hold with both empathy and authority.
The appointment continues SplashBI’s investment in building a team that can meet both public and private sector organizations where they are — with the technical depth and domain experience to consult, not just sell.
