June 12, 2026
The on-site foodservice management provider Bon Appétit Management Company will soon have a new CEO.
Saajid Khan has been named to the helm of the Redwood City, California-based company, but he will join later this year. Khan will be stepping in to replace co-founder Fedele Bauccio, who will move to an executive chair role and remain actively involved, the company said Thursday.
Khan joins Bon Appétit after three decades with Compass Group in leadership roles spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America. He is currently CEO of Compass Group Canada and ESS North America.
At Bon Appétit, Khan will work with Bauccio and the leadership team to “support a thoughtful transition and continued focus on the client partnerships, culinary excellence, hospitality, and values-driven innovation that have defined Bon Appétit since its founding in 1987,” the company said.
Known in the industry for sustainability, local purchasing and socially responsible practices like advocating for farmworker rights, animal welfare, and climate action, Bon Appétit operates cafes and dining experiences in 33 states for corporations, universities and cultural institutions. Bon Appétit chefs create menus and cook from scratch — including sauces, stocks and soups — at every location, the company said.
