CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Preparations are in full swing for the 35th Mindanao Business Conference or MINBIZCON 2026, with the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc. (Oro Chamber) expressing confidence in hosting one of the country’s largest gatherings of business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The event is expected to attract between 800 and 1,200 delegates from across the country including representatives from the international business community.
To be held from Aug. 11 to 13 at the Atrium of Limketkai Center, the conference marks the sixth time that Cagayan de Oro will host the event.
Oro Chamber president Almarco Brito said the conference is being organized in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the city government.
One of the highlights of the opening day will be an investment forum in collaboration with the city government.
Brito said recommendations and resolutions arising from the forum would be submitted to the city council and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Misamis Oriental and will serve as the basis in strengthening policies promoting investments and economic growth in the region.
