Equal1 CEO Says Quantum Investment Is Easier Than Ever – Quantum Zeitgeist

After eight years developing its quantum computing technology, Equal1 CEO Jason Lynch reports that attracting investment is now easier than ever before. This shift reflects growing confidence in the field, fueled by advances in both quantum hardware and the rising demand for artificial intelligence. “We’re eight years into our journey and I would say that today is the easiest it has been,” said Lynch. Equal1 aims to deploy its silicon-based, hybrid quantum-classical RacQ computer directly into existing data centres, bringing practical quantum computing beyond the laboratory.
Artificial intelligence is now easing the path for deep tech investment, according to Jason Lynch, who was recently featured in a Business Post article detailing the shift. Lynch attributes this increased financial confidence to advances in quantum hardware, software, and supporting technology infrastructure, creating a more receptive environment for complex ventures.
The Business Post article highlights the changing dynamics for companies pursuing ambitious technologies, quoting Lynch as saying, “The easiest it has been.” Through its silicon-based, hybrid quantum-classical technology and rack-mounted RacQ quantum computer, Equal1 is focused on moving quantum computing beyond the laboratory and into existing data centre environments. This focus on commercial viability is bolstered by the current investment climate, which Lynch describes as the most favorable in the company’s eight-year history, and the company intends to move quantum computing beyond theoretical exploration and into everyday computational environments.
We’re eight years into our journey and I would say that today is the easiest it has been. That’s not to say it’s easy, but it’s the easiest it has been.
