GlobalConnect introduces Smarter Cooler for cashless retail – Vending Market Watch

GlobalConnect has introduced Smarter Cooler, a cashless retail cooler designed for vending banks, micro markets and unattended retail locations.
According to GlobalConnect, Smarter Cooler combines four artificial intelligence-powered cameras with cashless payment to support faster checkout and reduce product loss. The company said the cooler is intended to help operators increase sales, improve margins and cut shrink.
The unit is designed for operators looking to expand premium product offerings in existing vending banks or add a cooler to micro market layouts. GlobalConnect said the cooler can be used to support higher-margin items while creating a frictionless purchasing experience for consumers.
Smarter Cooler includes an interactive touchscreen, dual-SIM cellular connectivity and access to GlobalConnect’s nationwide loyalty and promotional system. The cooler is also ConnectHQ enabled.
GlobalConnect said the product is available in several wrap options, including white, black, kraft and gray, to match market millwork headers. A standard vending-style wrap is also available.
