Grêmio are progressing towards a deal for Palmeiras left-back Caio Paulista, prompting immediate changes to their 2025 squad. With Marlon established as first choice, back-up Lucas Esteves could now depart.
SBT reports that Grêmio are in talks with Coritiba over a loan for the 25-year-old. The Série B champions have also sought information on Camilo, who is on loan at Chapecoense until the end of 2026.
Esteves joined from Vitória at the start of the season for one million dollars, R$ five point seven million.
He has not reproduced the level shown at Barradão, where he was voted one of the best left-backs in the 2024 Brasileiro.
Signed as a standout from the 2024 campaign to replace the criticised Reinaldo, he has made 23 appearances for Grêmio this season, 20 starts, with one assist.
