WASHINGTON — Washington Spirit star Trinity Rodman has been named added to Forbes’ annual “30 Under 30” list.
At 18, Rodman, the daughter of basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, became the youngest player taken in the National Women’s Soccer League draft.
In 2022, Rodman signed an extension with the Spirit. In 2024, she helped the US women’s national team take the gold medal in the Olympics.
Now a free agent, Rodman, who had 15 goals and helped advance the Spirit to its second straight title game, has become a target of Europe’s top clubs and other National Women’s Soccer League rivals.
The NWSL has vowed to fight to keep Rodman.
The will-she, won’t-drama surrounding Rodman has put a spotlight on the NWSL’s salary cap.
The Forbes “30 Under 30” list includes athletes as well as entrepreneurs and leaders in their sports.
