Deputy Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) and Digital Transformation Lead
Matt Dosberg is the GSFC Deputy Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) and Digital Transformation Lead. Matt leads or co-leads all things Digital Transformation (DT) at GSFC, including digital engineering, AI, data-driven programmatics, data strategy, and more. He serves as liaison to the agency-level DT team and other centers, coordinating across directorates to drive cultural change within the organization, and has sponsored multiple DT events at GSFC, including the center’s first AI Symposium. Matt was named NASA’s first Digital Transformer of the Month in May 2024 Our First Transformer of the Month: Matt Dosberg – NASA. Prior to joining Goddard in October 2020, Matt was the Program Manager for the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, Digital Innovation and Development Program (DIDit), a progressive software delivery team that had a successful digital transformation of the U.S. Asylum and Refugee Programs. Matt holds an MBA and MS in Finance from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business.
AI Products and Tech Lead
Michael Biskach serves as the Product and Technical Lead for the Goddard Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) team. Through this role, he delivers enabling capabilities and services to the Goddard workforce, supporting discipline and systems engineers working on the latest missions, scientists pursuing cutting-edge research, and the numerous supporting organizations that help make the impossible possible.
Michael is highly multidisciplinary, with the particular strength in quickly learning and applying new techniques and tools that efficiently solve problems. He has extensive experience in early mission phase technology and instrument development for high energy astrophysics missions and previously served as Mirror Technology Development Lead. Michael holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland: Baltimore County.
AI Infusion Lead
From a young age, Ryan McClelland has been captivated by futurism and technology, aspiring to contribute to a brighter future. As a Research Engineer in NASA GSFC’s Instrument Systems and Technology Division, he pursues the development and infusion of digital engineering technologies for space-flight missions. Ryan is particularly excited about the potential of Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Generative Design, and Digital Manufacturing to accelerate space systems development.
Ryan has played a significant role in various flight missions, including designs currently on-orbit aboard the Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station. Recently, he served as the Roman Space Telescope Instrument Carrier Manager. Ryan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland.
