McDonald’s has added a new chief strategy officer and a new chief data, analytics, and AI officer to its C-Suite.
In a LinkedIn post last week, chief executive officer Chris Kempczinski announced that Emily Reasor has joined the company as senior vice president and chief strategy officer.
The hire, he said, “signals our intent to make strategy a dynamic capability — one that drives execution, unlocks growth, and strengthens our competitive edge.”
Reasor, he added, will work across McDonald’s global markets to “identify new opportunities, embed strategic discipline into how we operate, and ensure our priorities remain anchored in what matters most to our customers, communities, and the McDonald’s system,” Kempczinski said.
Reasor previously spent nearly 18 years as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, according to her LinkedIn page.
Also, this week, Skye Anderson, president of McDonald’s Global Business Services, announced on her LinkedIn page that Das Dasgupta has been named senior vice president and chief data, analytics, and AI officer. The newly created role will lead the development and execution of McDonald’s enterprise-wide strategy and work with business leaders and global technology partners to identify new opportunities and grow through data, analytics, and AI.

“As we continue our transformation journey here at McDonald's, data, analytics, and AI play a vital role in our success. It’s essential we have a bold vision and a world-class team leading the way,” Anderson wrote.
Dasgupta served as chief data and analytics officer at Starbucks from 2024 to 2025, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior, he was the chief data and AI officer at Publicis Groupe. He’s also served in leadership roles at Viacom, Amazon, McKinsey & Company, and Ernst & Young.
These appointments come less than a month after McDonald’s named Kathy Baird as its new chief impact officer of the U.S. system, and Anne Hammer as the new global chief communications officer. Also, in June, McDonald’s shuffled its technology division, with Whitney McGinnis and Valerie Ashbaugh stepping into each other’s roles to broaden their experience. With this change, McGinnis is now senior vice president, commercial products and platforms, while Ashbaugh is now the chief information officer and senior vice president, McDonald’s USA.
