Workplace water purification provider Pure Water Technology has moved into a new headquarters in West Hempfield Township.
The 24,000 square-foot building at 1140 Corporate Blvd., completed this summer, includes an expanded production area for reconditioning and testing water purification systems as well as offices and warehouse space. It is owned by PWT Real Estate LLC, which is led by Pure Water Technology’s owner and President John Burkholder.
The facility’s total cost was around $5.7 million including construction and land acquisition.
The expansion is expected to allow the company to add up to 10 employees to its current 43-person workforce, most of which is based in West Hempfield Township.
“We’re excited about how our new building will enable us to do more for our existing clients and serve more customers,” Burkholder said in a statement.
Founded in 2005, Pure Water Technology rents water purification coolers, commercial ice makers and coffee makers to businesses. Its products connect to buildings’ existing water lines, providing an alternative to bottled water deliveries.
It serves companies in industries including manufacturing, education, hospitality and healthcare. It has a total of four locations, serving parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.
The company’s former headquarters was in a business park at 1200 Corporate Blvd., just southwest of the new facility.
