COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A lucky lottery player recently won a big jackpot from the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The lottery said a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket, which won a $292,000 jackpot, was sold at the Publix location on Two Notch Road in Columbia. Officials added that the winner said they played the game for 20 years before finally winning the top prize.
“I’m glad I won it,” the winner said. “It was my time.”
The ticket matched all five numbers drawn on July 6: 10-13-17-24 and 27.
The Publix location also received a $2,920 commission for selling the winning ticket.
