Larry Jones, the former CIO of Johnson & Johnson MedTech (NYSE: JNJ) , has joined Microsoft as its global Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) industry leader.
Jones will report to Shelley Bransten, Microsoft’s corporate VP of Global Industry Solutions, who made the announcement on LinkedIn today.
“Larry is an accomplished leader with a 35-year career marked by extensive global experience in the medtech and life sciences sectors,” Bransten said.
“He has a strong track record in driving digital transformation, spearheading large-scale organizational initiatives, cultivating strategic partnerships, and developing high-performing leadership teams. As a leader, Larry is deeply focused on collaboration and authenticity and what stood out for me most in speaking to him was his passion for teaming, culture, growth and realizing the full potential of innovative healthcare solutions and outcomes.”
Jones announced his departure from Johnson & Johnson Medtech last fall. He was the medtech business’ global VP and group chief information officer. Jeff Srour, a nearly 20-year veteran of J&J, moved up into the role after Jones’ departure, according to Srour’s LinkedIn page.
