CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY —Homeowners in an uptown subdivision here are seeking the creation of a new barangay in the first district to be known as Barangay Materson, to be composed of portions of barangay Carmen, Lumbian and Canitoan in the city.
In a petition, residents are urging the 19th Congress to create a new Barangay in the First Legislative District of the City of Cagayan de Oro to Be Known as Barangay Masterson.
The Federation of Uptown Village Homeowners Association Inc. (FUVHOAI) Resolution Number 001-2022 called on Cagayan de Oro Congressman Lordan Suan to file in Congress the bill to create Barangay Masterson.
The FUVHOAI is composed of 16 subdivisions/villages, namely: 1. Bellevue 2. Camella Homes 3. CDO Philamlife Village 4. Forest View 5. Golden Glow Village 6. Golden Glow North 1 7. Golden Glow North 2 8. Hillsborough Pointe 9. Morning Mist Village 10. Pueblo Golf Estates 11. San Agustin Valley Homes 12. The Courtyards 13. Vista Verde Village 14. Westwoods Village 15. Xavier Estates 16. Xavier Heights Subdivision.
If approved, the new barangay will be the 81st in the city.
