At some point every organisation will undergo a transformation and it takes a variety of skills to ensure a smooth transition.
For a successful career in change management, the experts at professional services platform Grant Thornton advise developing both traditional and modern skills, for a robust and adaptable skillset.
“The skills needed around complex change and transformation programmes have remained consistent. So being adept at understanding programmes and change management are still core tenets,” said Amanda Ward, co-head of consulting at Grant Thornton.
However, she added, “What has changed is a new layer of skillsets that are now required over the more traditional management consulting capabilities and they include really understanding the methodologies and strategies around AI, around cloud computing and machine learning.”
