INTERLINK Health Services Provides Notice of Data Breach Following Compromised Email Account – JD Supra
On February 19, 2025, INTERLINK Health Services filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts after discovering that an INTERLINK email account was subject to unauthorized access. In this notice, INTERLINK Health explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names and protected health information. Upon completing its investigation, INTERLINK Health began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals whose information was affected by the recent data security incident.

The INTERLINK Health Services data breach was only recently announced, and more information is expected in the near future. However, INTERLINK Health’s filing with the Attorney General of Massachusetts provides some important information on what led up to the breach. According to this source, on June 17, 2024, INTERLINK Health detected suspicious activity within an employee’s email account. In response, INTERLINK launched an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity experts.
Through this investigation, interlink learned that an unauthorized party was able to access certain files on its network between June 15, 2024 and June 17, 2024. It was also determined that some of the files that were accessible to the unauthorized party contained confidential consumer information.
After learning that sensitive consumer data was accessible to an unauthorized party, INTERLINK Health Services reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. INTERLINK Health completed this process on December 16, 2024 and, while the breached information varies depending on the individual, it may include your name and protected health information.
On February 19, 2025, INTERLINK Health Services sent out data breach letters to anyone who was affected by the recent data security incident. These letters should provide victims with a list of what information belonging to them was compromised.
