In Foz do Iguaçu, the tribute to the former coach will take place with a lecture given by the author in the Itaipu Binacional reception auditorium on April 15 (Monday) at 19 pm.

Caio Júnior lived in Cascavel until he was 15 years old when he transferred to the Grêmio youth team where he began a successful career as a player and then coach of major Brazilian football clubs such as Palmeiras, Flamengo, Botafogo and Grêmio, in addition to a notable stint on the Asian continent where he worked in Japan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

But whenever he could, he would be in Cascavel, missing his friends, family and the city. “When Caio came back from Portugal on vacation, we in the press would arrange to interview him at the entrance to the city, near the Olympic stadium.
