NEW YORK, April 17, 2024 – PRSA announced today that futurist, author and technology strategist Crystal Washington will be a keynote speaker at ICON 2024, being held Oct. 15-17 at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, California.
Washington equips organizations with the knowledge they need to become “future-proof,” making complex AI, social media and app technology easy to understand and accessible for everyone.
“As communicators, it’s critical that we always stay ahead of the rapid evolution of technology and artificial intelligence,” said Joseph Abreu, APR, CPRC, 2024 PRSA Chair. “We are excited to hear Crystal’s insights on how to demystify complex jargon and use tech to make us more effective, efficient and unified.”
Washington’s clients include Fortune 100 companies, among them Google, American Express, and Pfizer. As a sought-after keynote speaker, she has entertained and educated audiences around the globe. One of Forbes’ 50 Leading Female Futurists, Washington appears weekly on season two of the Emmy-nominated show “Life 2.0,” and major television networks regularly call on her as a tech expert. She’s also appeared in numerous publications, including Entrepreneur and Bloomberg Businessweek. Washington is the author of One Tech Action, an efficiency guide for non-techie professionals, and The Social Media Why, a busy professional’s practical guide to using social media. She previously served as CEO of Black-Market Exchange, an urban marketing firm based in Houston, Texas, which offered affordable social media, internet, email and traditional marketing solutions.
